Maria Louise Barnicoat is a Jersey-based facilitator, ceremony guide, medicine musician, somatic practitioner, mother & sacred space holder. She is the founder of Soul Ground and Kali-Ma Raw Chocolate & Artisan Workshops & has spent over 17 years creating heart-led spaces for healing, embodiment, connection & authentic human relating.

Her work weaves together somatic enquiry, cacao, ecstatic dance, ritual, medicine music, emotional enquiry & circle-based facilitation.
Through Soul Ground, she brings people together in circle, ceremony, dance, song & seasonal gatherings, creating spaces where the sacred can feel simple, human & alive.

At the heart of her work is the understanding that healing happens through relationship — with ourselves, each other, our bodies, the earth & the living mystery around us.

Annabel Rae - Velvet Vibrations also welcomes Miss Annabel Rae to Velvet Vibrations – Frequencies for the Sea.
Based in Jersey Channel Islands, Annabel is a respected holistic massage therapist, yoga teacher, and naturopathic nutritional therapist, whose work centres on restoring balance through nervous system regulation, somatic movement, and reconnecting people with their bodies.

Her nature-inspired approach reflects the very essence of Velvet Vibrations, a movement that celebrates the healing relationship between people and the natural world. Through mindfulness, movement, and holistic wellbeing, Annabel encourages us to slow down, breathe deeply & rediscover the profound connection that exists between ourselves and the environment around us.
Her presence reminds us that caring for our oceans also begins with caring for ourselves.

We are delighted to welcome the wonderful mother and daughter duo, Jane and Omara Silvester, to Velvet Vibrations – Frequencies for the Sea.

Jane Silvester is one of Jersey's most respected music educators, serving as Head of Music at St Michael's Preparatory School. Alongside inspiring the next generation of musicians, she performs with the Amity Singers, Jersey Chamber Choir, and is Assistant Choral Director of the award-winning Musical Originals Singers.

Her daughter, Omara Silvester, is an exceptional classical soprano and pianist, currently studying at the Royal Northern College of Music. A recipient of the Music in Action Young Artist 2024 award, Omara has captivated audiences through performances of works including Fauré's Requiem, Bach's Magnificat, and her moving rendition of Beautiful Jersey during the Island's Liberation Day celebrations.

Together, Jane and Omara represent the beauty of music shared across generations, bringing passion, artistry, and a profound connection to community.

Abigail Parker collaborates with Velvet Vibrations – Frequencies for the Sea through a heartfelt beachside musical performance offered in honour of the sea’s power, beauty, and enduring resilience. Delivering a passionate performance that resonates with her creative prowess. In tune with nature and designed to inspire the collaboration and unification of artists across the globe.

Imogen joins Velvet Vibrations – Frequencies for the Sea through her creation of symbolic artworks drawn into the sand, using the shoreline itself as a canvas to express connection, nature, and collective environmental consciousness.

A Jersey-born hand-poke tattoo artist whose practice is rooted in slow, intentional mark-making and a deep connection to place.

Working exclusively without a machine, she creates delicate, hand-crafted tattoos that reflect the landscapes, cultures, and experiences she has encountered while living and working across Jersey, Bali, and Australia. Drawing inspiration from travel, nature, and personal storytelling, Imogen's work celebrates the intimacy of the hand-poke process, creating permanent artworks that are both deeply personal and quietly expressive.

Her practice bridges traditional craftsmanship with contemporary tattoo culture, embracing patience, presence, and meaningful human connection.

Hayleyt is a Jersey-based ceramicist, practicing artist, and co-founder of The Stoodio, a thriving community arts hub in St Helier.

Working across ceramics and community-led creative practice, her work explores materiality, connection, and the roleof making as a shared experience. Passionate about breaking down barriers to creativity, Hayley co-founded The Stoodio alongside her lifelong friend Sophie Harris to create aninclusive space where people of all ages and abilities can access art, develop new skills, and connect through creative expression.

Her practice is rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and a deep appreciation for the natural environment, bringing together craft, community, and place through thoughtful, tactile work.

The moment she joined the project, Sophie’s willingness to completely lose herself in the creative process was inspiring. Her passion, generosity, and imagination shine through every piece she creates. A multidisciplinary artist, illustrator, animator, textile designer, and co-founder of The Stoodio in Jersey, Sophie is dedicated to making art accessible to everyone.

Her work transforms everyday discarded materials into vibrant works of creativity, demonstrating how beauty and purpose can emerge through renewal. As an advocate for inclusion and neurodiversity, Sophie has helped create a welcoming space where creativity becomes a pathway to confidence, connection, and self-expression.

We are honoured to have Sophie bringing her remarkable talent to this international celebration of art, community, and the sea.

Sophia is a professional Berlin-based singer and performer whose work is driven by the expressive power of the human voice and its ability to connect people across cultures and landscapes.

Performing internationally, Sophia brings a vibrant energy to every setting, blending technical precision with emotional depth.

For Velvet Vibrations – Frequencies for the Sea, she travelled to Jersey in the Channel Islands to perform within the dramatic coastal landscape of Plémont Bay, where her voice resonated through the surrounding caves, cliffs, and sea. Inspired by nature and the elemental forces of the coastline, her performance embodies a celebration of sound, presence, and the shared experience of singing with, and for, the sea.
